Made already some additional minor updates regarding thr rear fairing by lowering the seat position

Rolling out with new rear fearing design but there will be follow some minor modifications on it ...

This will be near the shortest wheel base I want to drive. Here you see the shorter swing arm! The other one is 10cm (4") longer ...

 

This wheel base will be only driven if needed!

The story about hubmotor ends on 25th of June by short circuit of motor windings. Before I made some successful test runs on the Bamberg airport landing field:

 

Now I made the decision to continue with middrive system and starting again on the rolling chassie.

12.05.2018-05-18:

Today I wanna run at GRW (German Race Wars Event) in Eisenach, Thüringen, GER.

Therefore I prepared the bike and put him on a trailer

I drove near to 200km for only one run.

Last year I need 3,5 hours, two and a half for the distance and 1h waiting time in front of the entrance because I were a crowed of people.

But this time I could drive directly to the entrance, only 4 cars in front of me.

Had a short discussion about the demo drive but everything goes very fast and uncomplicated this time.

Got the same parking area ass last year:

Therefore I prepared the bike very fast made a short walk around the area, come back, prepared myself , went to the race management center and gave them some information about the bike and a little story.

Then they said to me:" You can start!"

So I went back to the bike, switched everything on and drove to the starting area.

So I was very happy with this result because I was 8/10 faster than last year, even with this bad spinning wheel at the beginning of the start.

I made now some test drives and now it looks better!

Waiting now on first official test run @ German Race Wars in Eisenach (Thüringen) ...

2018-04-19:

It seems that I solved now, together with Emsiso, the problem of reaching over current failure which is set via secondary current protection at 900A, peak value.
It was a parameter setting which was not described in the manual I have. So they forwarded this information today and it has something to do with my hall feedback sensor and the settings inside the controller.

One of them called „Velocity encoder factor Divisor“ which has a default setting of 4096 and is used for all other sensor types on the market which assist by Emsiso controller, except hall sensor 😞.
Had to change it to 96 (pole pairs x 6= 16x6)
And now also the sound out of the motor is much quieter!
On dusty ground I direct got spinning wheel, on dry ground not. But I think my batteries are empty now!
So I hope to make a next test run on airport by next Tuesday!

But actually I have some problems during WOT acceleration because the controller switched off:

Change cam position on upper fork bridge and therefore I am able to record the Garmin GPS measured speed in parallel

Now I changed the motor phase current to 800A and I saw/feel the hubmotor first time of spinning wheel and burning black stripes to the ground:

Did now the first little test run @ 650A phase current (200A DC @ 98,8 V DC)

So the video is not spectacular but I can say that the acceleration from zero kph is now much better than @ 400A of Kelly controller:

Yesterday I changed the parameters again to 800A phase current and I also want to change the DC current but it will go back to 200A and actually I do not know why. Maybe there is another parameter I have to activate that this problem can be solved!
